Christmas
We had a great Christmas with the family in Joliet. It was our first Christmas as a family and my first Christmas as a Dad. I was blessed with a new digital camcorder and caught a funny video of Joshua Caleb and getting eaten by cousin Melody who is three months older. We have shot a few funny videos with the two infants playing together but this was by far the funniest.

First Thanksgiving
This year's Thanksgiving was Joshua's first Thanksgiving. While he did not get to partake of the turkey, stuffing, mashed potato and other yummy foods he did get to play with his cousins. This was the first time i saw him interact with another small human, his cousin Melody. I am grateful to my new palm phone which enabled me to capture this moment and share it with the world.

Baby's First Lock In
Our Youth had a lock in last night and here is a picture of the youngest kid there! Yes he is my son, very adorable! We had a scavenger hunt, then went bowling and came back to the church for video games, hide and seek in the church(totally dark), and of course a very heated game of mofia! We stayed up the entire night! Only a few in the group actually went to sleep. Joshua did great slept most of the morning! His mom and dad are very tired and a bit cranky today!

The Baby is Back Home
Joshua was released on thursday from the hospital. He had been there over a week because he was loosing weight and was still not back to his birth weight. They figured out that Charity was not producing enough milk and on top of that he had some kind of virus that was causing him to loose lots of fluid which made him dehydrated. The bug finally passed and now he is back at home and gaining weight. Sadly he had to undergo a million tests and had to have way too much blood drawn. It was very hard watching your little bably screem because they are pricking him with needles. Praise God it wasn't something serious!

How time flies
It has been almost 2 months since i posted anything. We are now living in Edwardsville Illinois. We are really liking our new church and friends. Some of the highlights have been getting to spend time with family, holding our niece Melody who was just born a week ago, getting to swim in our pool, although it is not a big pool. On the more negative side i got a speeding ticket for the first time in like 6 years (must have been the california plates), my computer crashed and my phone died on back to back days, i lost lots of phone numbers and a few valuable things on my computer. It has been very hot here when it is not raining, i am adjusting alright, if i could just wear shorts and a t shirt all the time it would be better! We are currently in the process of looking for a house to buy or rent long term because we only have a few more months to go in this one.

Moving
Well, Charity and I have just a little over a week left before we move. We are very excited about it. We will miss family and friends here in California. We will miss being so close to the ocean (we did not take advantage of it). Every place has its advantages and disadvantages. We are sure that this is a God thing and that is what excites us so much. We can rest knowing God has a plan for us and he will give us the desires of our hearts. We look forward to being closer to Charity's family. We are also hoping to catch up with friends from CBC! We are planning on stopping in at cbc for graduation on our long trek from California to Edwardsville.

A Boy

Charity and I found out on Monday that she is having a boy! I was very excited! I could not help think about all the things I wanted to do with my son. I was imagining myself teaching him how to throw a baseball, how to swim, play football etc. I know the most important thing that I can do as a Father is to teach my son that God Loves him. Charity and I have already been praying that our kid would love the Lord from an early age and never depart. Maybe someday he will preach the Gospel too!
