Wow, it has been months since i last posted on this blog. Charity and I have been very busy raising a son, starting a new youth and childrens ministry. We reasantly went on a vacation to Montana. This was our first vacation as a family! We had a blast visiting with family, hiking, wakeboarding, and enjoying the beauty of the Northwest! If I had to sum up the last year in one word, the word would be busy! Jesus was busy doing his Fathers will and while I can't say that I have always been busy doing my Father's will I do think this has been a fruitful time in life doing God's will.
One thing I am learning is that prayer really does sustain our lives. When we live a lifestyle of prayer we end up being in the right place at the right time for God to bless us. I can say that the success we are having in our ministry and family is due to God answering prayer! James 5:16 "... the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much". I want to strive to live a life of prayer and dedication to God! I realize that many times my mistakes in life as a husband, dad and pastor are due to not listening to God's direction, or reacting to something in flesh instead of the Spirit. Let us continue to put God first in our life!
